Motor Vehicle Accident Injury Claims:
Coverage for physiotherapy services is available after a motor vehicle accident regardless of who is at fault and without a physician referral. Insurance companies may pre-approve up to 21 treatments over a 12 week period for physiotherapy treatment, however, it is important to seek treatment within 10 days of your accident. In order to access coverage and the potential for direct billing the required AB-1 form is available online here and at MOMENTUM for your convenience. Should you submit your AB-1 beyond 10 days of your accident your automotive injury adjuster will determine if direct billing can be authorized. Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) Injury Claims:
Injured at work? WCB will pay for an inital physiotherapy assessment and first treatment without a physician referral. Providing your WCB case manager has approved your claim MOMENTUM will be happy to direct bill for the remainder of your treatment sessions; potentially up to 21 treatment sessions over six weeks. Please note that the amount of treatment sessions vary depending upon the injury sustained, check with WCB to determine what treatment has been authorized for your claim.
