Rare Bleeding Disorders

Growing up with severe Hemophilia A, Stephen, understands the challenges of bleeding episodes and limited participation in sport activities.  This hasn't stopped him from doing what he loves most, instead, he has embraced his condition and has allowed it to empower him to assist others with similar conditions.

Graduating with great distinction with a B.Sc. in Kinesiology, and then later with a M.Sc. in Physical Therapy, Stephen has a strong knowledge on the body and how it works.  Stephen has taken this knowledge of activity and how the body works and paired it with how Hemophilia has affected his life to empower others to manage their own aches and pains.  Stephen's approach to managing Hemophilia - and for that matter, any condition - is to proactively prepare the body with healthy lifestyles and exercise.

Stephen is excited to share his knowledge and passion with you and/or your child to better equip yourselves for what it's like to live with Hemophilia.  He has first hand knowledge of the importance of being able to self-manage both active and inactive bleeding episodes while still feeling confident in participating in the activities you love.  In fact, when not in the clinic you'll often find Stephen out in the mountains doing what he loves best; mountain biking, fly-fishing and hiking.
